LHS Class of '65 Scholarship Fund

Members of the LHS Class of '65,

After having paid all reunion expenses and holding enough money to keep our website up and running, there was some money left in our reunion account. It was the feeling of    the committee that the remaining funds be donated to The Lakewood Alumni Foundation for the purpose of awarding "scholarships" to those students unable to afford the cost of college entrance and Advanced Placement exams (ACT, SAT and A/P). The money is in an account in the name of The Class of '65 and will be overseen and awarded to deserving students by the coordinator of the Talented and Gifted Program at LHS.

There truly is a need for testing scholarships. Anyone wishing to add to our fund can do so by donating to The Lakewood Alumni Foundation and specifying that the donation be added to The Class of '65 Fund. The Foundation is a 501(c)3 and all donations are tax deductible. Every donor will receive an acknowledgment of his or her gift that can be used for tax purposes.
